Project Manager Position Description:

Project New America (PNA) is a private company that provides candidates, advocacy organizations, and civic engagement groups with tools and strategies to understand and communicate with a rapidly changing America. PNA develops, aggregates, and disseminates strategies that empower progressives to achieve their research and communications goals. We’re not a traditional polling firm, although we work with pollsters to provide cutting edge quantitative and qualitative analysis to our clients. We go beyond your typical campaign consultants by ingraining our data and analyses with actionable issue-specific recommendations.

The Project Manager will be an integral part of the PNA team. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to the opportunities and challenges facing our clients via their past campaign and political work. This person should be passionate about driving progressive change and innovation by helping advocates and campaigns up their game. This person will be responsible for a wide variety of duties with a primary focus on servicing PNA’s clients and subscribers. This person will manage outreach to our subscribers to keep them up to date on upcoming projects and research, train new staff on how to utilize PNA’s services and manage internal projects.

Qualifications:


4 years or three cycles of political or advocacy experience required

In-depth understanding of political research methodologies and practices

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Knowledge of and strong commitment to progressive causes

A diplomatic, discreet and professional approach to problem-solving

Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and discretion

Managerial experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:


Communicating with subscriber and clients

Training subscribers on PNA tools and services

Providing technical support to PNA subscribers around our website and clearinghouse

Tracking subscriber priorities and projects

Managing staff and interns when needed

Managing PNA clearinghouse

Research assistance with PNA commissioned projects

Ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis

Ability to prioritize among a large and diverse set of objectives, and to do so in fast-paced, dynamic environment

Ability to travel to meet with clients across the U.S.
