GROUND Engineering in Englewood has an immediate opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. This position is for an individual both willing and able to support the growth of our companies maturing/growing human resources program.

This position offers: a HR professional the opportunity to help develop our growing HR program, increase expertise in a variety of HR areas and wear numerous hats to support our employees and company at our 5 different offices.

This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and provides assistance with and facilitates the HR process at all 5 business locations. The primary purpose of this position is to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. In addition, this position acts as an IT liaison and provides basic support for routine IT tasks related to employees access to network resources.

This position works with: all levels of the organization, but reports to the Vice President.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years human resources experience and/or Bachelors in related field
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred, but not required

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Administrates various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Assists in the preparation of performance review process. Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Performs benefits administration including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions Approves benefit invoices for payment.
- Communicates benefit information to Company.
- Acts as a liaison between broker, insurance company and employees.
- Counsels managers regarding sensitive employee relations such as compliance, employee complaints, discrimination and sexual harassment.
- Provides guidance with respect to disciplinary actions, consulting with legal and other internal departments as necessary.
- Handles employee relations, investigates employee complaints and conducts exit interviews.
- Creates and provides necessary training for management and employees.
- Acts as company EEO Officer. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Serves as member of Diversity and Inclusion council. Maintains all data and documents regarding Diversity and Inclusion program and goals
- Helps company maintain compliance with federal and state employment law.
- Works with Operations Manager in recruiting efforts for all personnel, conducting new-employee orientations and writing and placing advertisements. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow up letters to recruits.
- Tracks HR metrics and conducts regular audits of HR processes.
- Conducts basic clerical functions including filing employee papers and documents, faxing documents and preparing new employee files.
- Plans company and employee functions.

Essential Skills/Abilities:

- Strong computer skills, ability to problem solve routine IT issues and a willingness to grow in this area.
- Basic math and statistic skills.
- Communicate well with a variety of people, in various settings.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
